Acupuncture for Menopausal Syndrome on “A Current Affair”

This week, Channel 9’s A Current Affair ran a story about a new clinical trial running in Melbourne, which will study the effects of acupuncture on menopausal syndrome.

One of the study participants is already seeing benefits, with flushes reduced from 12 or more per day.

Ms Caelli said the therapy has reduced the intensity of her hot flushes as well as their frequency.

“I wasn’t having the hot flushes as often and they weren’t as intense, it probably got down to five or six or less, some days probably three some days four and they weren’t as severe, nowhere near as severe,” she said.
